Find Us At Autodesk University 2018

Headed to Autodesk University 2018? EvolveLAB's Bill Allen and Sean Fruin will be presenting! Here's where you'll find them: A Story-Time Fairy Tale: Case Studies on Designing Theme Parks with BIM

EvolveLAB Founder and CEO, Bill Allen, will be taking participants on a real life fairy tale of a case study. BIM (Building Information Modeling) is great for large commercial projects with conventional geometry, but what about modeling an architectural Mayan ruins site that's been excavated, or modeling themed columns with adjacent rockwork, or pulling quantities for a mountain? These are some of the challenges we faced when considering Revit software for our theme park projects. Come and listen as we share the good, the bad, and the ugly of our lessons learned when taking on these unconventional projects, and how we overcame the problems. This is the story of a firm's quest to design a Mayan theme park in Revit, and how that firm used Revit to set in motion best practices for all its subsequent theme park projects.

AU Panel - YOUR Revit feel is not MY Revit file.

Catch EvolveLAB Design Technologist, Sean Fruin, as the Mechanical expert on this panel. He and four others will discus how the original intention of Revit was to have all the disciplines work together in one model, how in theory Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a business model closely aligned with the goals of Revit... but why hasn't the IPD model taken off?

To amp you up about our sessions here's a video of Bill's 2016 AU presentation. Did we mention that it's Autodesk University's most popular YouTube video ever with 203k+ views?
