Joseph DeBenny is a BIM Manager and parametric designer from Phoenix, Arizona. After graduating with a B.Arch from the University of Arizona College of Architecture, he started his career with a focus on the design and management of large civic and healthcare projects. But with a strong interest in parametric 3D modeling and visualization, he naturally transitioned to focusing on AEC technology research and implementation at several renowned architecture firms.
He has a passion for evidence-based design, environmental analysis, and design justice. He strongly believes building information modeling and rigorous data analysis are the means for the architecture profession to achieve truly responsible outcomes.
When not at his desk, he is an eclectic hobbyist who can be found either researching, writing, DJing, flying drones, exploring virtual reality, or obsessively following Formula 1.
